Ten male and twenty female transsexual
patients who had undergone sex reassignment surgery were followed-up with
regard to postoperative complications, partner and sexual interaction and
their overall ability to cope with their new situation.
Despite unsatisfactory functional results,
social and sexual life improved after sex reassignment surgery.
